At the IDB Accelerator Program (Ideate, Design & Build), our mission is to empower individuals from all backgrounds to innovate within the open-source ecosystem. We foster a collaborative environment where technical and non-technical individuals alike can engage in meaningful, real-world projects. By emphasizing mentorship, community support, and hands-on experience, we aim to make open-source accessible to everyone and highlight it as a pathway for career growth and impact.
We aim to transform open-source collaboration into groundbreaking innovations that address real-world challenges, building an inclusive community of creators and problem solvers who shape the future of technology. Through our work, we strive to redefine what’s possible in open-source by harnessing the collective skills and perspectives of our participants.
The IDB Accelerator Program was created to fill a critical need in the open-source community. We saw many talented individuals—especially those from underrepresented backgrounds or non-technical fields—eager to contribute but unsure of how to navigate the open-source ecosystem. Recognising this gap, Our team launched IDB as an inclusive space where everyone can thrive, learn, and lead. From ideation to execution, our program offers participants comprehensive training, mentorship, and support to turn their ideas into innovative, impactful open-source projects.
By 2030, we aim to equip 10,000 diverse individuals to drive groundbreaking open-source innovations, establishing the IDB Accelerator as the leading platform for collaborative tech talent.
